A wayfarer on the Path raised a very relevant question: ‘How can someone overcome the love of this world?’

Realize that Allah is the Author and Director of the Big Drama, you are the actor and we are your co-actors. How do you act appropriately?

Given that man is the only physical creature, as far as we know, to be endowed with an intellect, and has been searching for so long, is it not amazing that he has still not made much headway as to finding the answers to those essential questions?

One of the strongest traits in human nature is to give great importance to outward appearances and manifestations at the cost of neglecting the inward qualities and realities, which are their real source and raison d’être. What transpired on the plain of Karbala on that fateful day has relevance for us in our present-day lives.

Many people are in a fix about how to deal with the very complex issue of giving to beggars of all ages and genders that are literally flooding the streets of Karachi - or any other present-day rural mendicant scene anywhere.
